Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) reaffirmed their status as one of Asia’s leading continental outfits after securing the overall title at the Tour of Thailand 2026, marking a significant breakthrough following a five-year wait for a major stage race victory.
The success was anchored by an impressive and consistent performance from Vadim Pronskiy, who delivered across all stages to claim the overall general classification (GC) title.
TSG’s campaign was further strengthened by strong stage results, with Pierre Barbier powering to victories in the early stages, setting the tone for the team’s dominance. The momentum was sustained in later stages, with Pronskiy capitalising on key moments in more demanding terrain to secure the decisive advantage.
The team’s depth was also evident through the contributions of riders such as Adne van Engelen, whose support played a crucial role in maintaining TSG’s competitive edge throughout the race.

TSG Chief Executive Officer, Che Ku Mohd Izmuddin Che Ku Mahmood, described the achievement as a testament to the team’s long-term planning and collective commitment.
“This victory is extremely meaningful for us after several challenging seasons. It proves that TSG remains competitive and capable of delivering results at the highest level in Asia,” he said.
He added that the team’s balance between sprint capability and general classification strength, combined with disciplined race execution, were key factors behind the success.
The victory is expected to provide a major boost for TSG as they prepare for upcoming races on the UCI Asia Tour calendar.
Beyond sporting success, the result also enhances the team’s commercial value and visibility, strengthening its appeal to sponsors and increasing its media presence across the regional cycling scene.
The Tour of Thailand is regarded as one of the premier races in the Asian cycling calendar, attracting top teams from across the continent, making TSG’s latest triumph one of the most significant achievements in the team’s history.
