UZBEKISTAN — Malaysia’s Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) is chasing continental glory at the Tour of Bostonliq, a UCI 2.2‑level race contested over two hilly stages totaling 303.8 kilometers.

The team has declared its ambition to secure two podium finishes and a top‑three overall team classification. The line‑up features Dutch rider Adne Van Engelen, New Zealander James Gardner, and Colombian Juan Pedro Lozano Navarro, alongside Malaysians Muhammad Shahmir Aiman Abd Halim, Muhammad Haizam Mohd Shabri, and Nur Amirul Fakhruddin Marzuki.

Currently ranked fourth in Asia with 695 points, TSG has already contested 10 UCI races this season. With more than 20 events still ahead, the team is confident of reclaiming the Asian champion title, a crown they held for four consecutive years between 2021 and 2024.

Officials emphasized that the Tour of Bostonliq is a pivotal race in their campaign, not only to strengthen their continental ranking but also to showcase Malaysia’s cycling strength on the international stage.

The demanding terrain of Uzbekistan, marked by steep climbs and rolling hills, is expected to test both endurance and tactical discipline.

TSG’s management believes the combination of seasoned imports and determined local riders gives the team a competitive edge. Success in Bostonliq would provide valuable momentum as they continue their push for dominance in the Asia Tour.
