TSG ROARS BACK TO QINGHAI: READY FOR GLORY AT THE ROOF OF ASIA

TSG has officially announced its rider roster for the upcoming Tour of Magnificent Qinghai 2025.

After a long hiatus from the Chinese highlands, Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) is officially back in action at the 24th edition of the Tour of Magnificent Qinghai, kicking off today in Xining.

The prestigious race, held under the 2.ProSeries classification of the UCI Asia Tour, is revered as one of the world’s highest-altitude stage races and a staple in the continental cycling calendar.

Spanning eight grueling stages over 1,325 kilometers, the race will push riders through some of the toughest climbs in Asia, concluding at Tongbaoshan on 13 July. Qinghai’s harsh environment—featuring mountain passes above 2,800 meters, sweeping alpine roads, and unpredictable climate—makes this race a true test of grit, endurance, and tactical finesse.

Sporting a blend of climbing specialists and all-rounders, TSG fields a robust lineup:

* Kee Zhe Yie 🇲🇾
* Metkel Eyob 🇪🇷
* Anatolii Budiak 🇺🇦
* Adne Van Engelen 🇳🇱
* Vadim Pronskiy 🇰🇿
* Mathias Bregnhoj 🇩🇰
* Stefan De Bod 🇿🇦

Guiding the team from the car are DS Mohd Saiful Anuar Aziz and ADS Wan Mohd Nazri Wan Ahmad, supported by mechanic Aieby Lyllah Aiman Alis, and soigneurs Muhammad Badrul Hakimi Hamid and Mohd Norhisammuddin Hilmi Mamat.

This marks TSG’s first appearance in Qinghai since 2017, with the team eager to rewrite its history on Chinese soil. Past performances were hindered by altitude challenges, but the current roster brings renewed optimism and altitude-savvy riders, such as Metkel Eyob—a familiar face on Qinghai terrain.
